In contrast to the often around the 10-minute mark compositions of our debut album, „Caught In Limbo“ showcases a condensed version of Sunstain if you want.
The spirit of the 90Äs is undeniably present, but we still refuse to be pigeonholed into the familiar boxes of Stoner Rock. This is definitely more Soundgarden than Kyuss by nature. We also dared to hit you with a bridge of back-to-back funk and doom parts respectively —genre purists hate this trick!
The wild mix of styles is not an end in itself but underscores the lyrical themes of the song—struggle with one’s identity and inner turmoil—never belonging and being labeled as something you are not or maybe never were.
We recorded the song back in April at „Studio an der Donau“ courtesy of Jan Kaiser-Böhm. It is also being released now by Jan’s label Independent Audio Management. Thank him for his patience and his support.
In May our friend Birgit asked us if we could help her renovating her Grandma’s old house. So naturally we turned the possibility to tear shit to pieces into a music video – Because why wouldn’t we?
