On May 29th we released a brand new single (+ music video). It’s called „Prometheus“ and it’s our first release with the new lineup featuring Sandro on drums — a first glimpse of where the journey might lead in this next iteration of the band. With its relentless pace and a runtime of just three and a half minutes, “Prometheus” stands apart from most of our songs: more 90s skate-video soundtrack than fifteen-minute psychedelic trip.
The urge for this change of scenery emerged in 2024 during a concert trip to see Fu Manchu at the Arena Wien. The mission was simple: no frills, full throttle — and “Prometheus” came to life in no time during the next jam session.

However, the track draws less inspiration from Prometheus from the Alien franchise and much more from the creator figure of Greek mythology who brought fire to humanity and was chained up by Zeus as punishment. The song revolves around that punishment — or rather, the conscious acceptance of consequences in the pursuit of one’s own stubborn convictions and passion. There’s no room for reason here, even if its voice briefly echoes through the chorus.
For around a year and a half, the song has already served as the explosive closing track of every Sunstain show — and now it’s finally available beyond sweaty circle pits on your streaming platform of choice. The offical video is out now on Youtube.
